About this video
This explainer is educational. The grade alone sets no pressure rating, corrosion guarantee or complete purchase specification; confirm the standard, dimensions, wall basis, inspection and documents with Junda in the quotation for each order.

- 010:00What S32750 does not specify
Super duplex tubing is not a grade you can order by name alone. The same S32750 can be a pipe or a tube, and those are different product standards. In a heat exchanger, tubing is the bundle of small-bore tubes inside the shell. The tube carries one fluid; the shell carries the other.
- 020:21S32750 grade versus ASTM A789 tube
S32750 is a commonly used super duplex grade. But the grade alone sets no pressure rating, no corrosion guarantee and no complete purchase specification. For tubing, the standard is ASTM A789; for pipe, it is A790. State the form and the standard, or the inquiry is still open. The grade is also a strength story. F53 reference minimums, solution treated: eight hundred newtons per square millimetre tensile, five hundred and fifty yield. Fifteen percent elongation, and a hardness of three hundred and ten HB. They are a grade reference, not a heat certificate, and not a wall-thickness calculation. Junda publishes a company range of six to six hundred and thirty millimetres outside diameter, and zero point two to eighty millimetres wall. That is a manufacturing range, not a stock list for every grade. The quotation still has to confirm the S32750 size you need.
- 031:26Super duplex tube dimensions and wall basis
A tube is ordered by outside diameter and wall, not by a nominal pipe size. The wall is not only a number. It has a basis. Average wall and minimum wall are different purchase requirements. And the length rule matters: cut length, or a random range? This is the line buyers skip. Average wall suits a nominal-wall order. Minimum wall is a different acceptance basis. If the drawing governs, say so and attach it. Then require the quotation to repeat the same wall basis.
- 041:59Eddy current and documents for super duplex tubing
Inspection is not a line that says NDT included. For tubing, eddy current or ultrasonic testing needs a method, a reference standard and coverage. A coil around a tube is the principle, not a test result. Name the method: ultrasonic or eddy current. Name the procedure and the reference standard. State the coverage and the acceptance criteria. Say how the ends and any unexamined zones are handled. And say whether a third party will witness the test. Documents are part of the specification too. Junda supplies EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates with the order, as agreed. 3.2 third-party inspection can be arranged when the project requires it.
- 052:45How to specify super duplex tubing in five lines
Put the enquiry in five lines. One: the service and design basis. Two: S32750, plus the product standard and edition. Three: outside diameter, wall, wall basis, length and quantity. Four: condition, examination, sampling and documents. Five: ask for every deviation and unresolved item in writing. Send your grade, dimensions and inspection requirements, and we will confirm the tube against your drawing.
Specify the pipe or tube for your project
Send the grade, standard, OD × wall × length, wall basis, quantity, inspection and documents with your enquiry.
