2205 vs 2507 duplex pipe: two grades, one line on the purchase order. The price gap is easy to see. The selection boundary is not.

Both grades run the same seamless route: cold drawing, solution heat treatment, pickling, cutting, inspection. The die does not know the grade. The alloy, not the machine, sets what the pipe can carry.

3 times molybdenum, plus 16 times nitrogen. 2205 lands near 35. 2507 lands near 43.

That is the boundary, in one number. Super duplex is not a default upgrade, and standard duplex is not a default saving. Match the grade to the duty, then fix the designation on the order.
